In the midst of extremely adverse circumstances, Trappido emerges as a true fighter, overcoming obstacles and conquering hearts along the way. It all started when we received alarming news about a dog in desperate need who urgently needed help.

The scene was distressing when we met Trappido, barely a bag of bones, unable to stand for more than a few moments. His fragile body was covered in dehydration, malnutrition, fleas, ticks, sores and wounds. A stomach that was barely closed and a severe infection that kept his eyes sealed, constantly leaking pus.

Taking control of his care, María Hermita, a dedicated veterinarian, began the arduous task of treating Trappido. Medicated and undergoing intensive treatment, Trappido’s road to recovery began.

The road ahead was not easy, as his life hung by a thread, fragile and uncertain. The process was marked by patience, as we could only wait for signs of progress.

Despite his small size and the multitude of challenges he faced, Trappido displayed an unbreakable spirit. Although his path seemed precarious, he continued to eat, showing no signs of vomiting, although he initially struggled with persistent diarrhea.

Little by little, his sunken eyelids began to heal, one showing more progress than the other. In the midst of this struggle, we cling to hope, knowing that Trappido’s determination would carry him through.

It had been a week since Trappido arrived at his new home, and every small improvement brought a glimmer of encouragement. He began to gain weight, a testament to his endurance. However, he suffered a setback when his hair began to fall out, a result of the internal parasites he had battled. But with continued medication and care, Trappido persevered.

As days turned into weeks, Trappido’s journey took a positive turn. His eyes, once affected by the infection, were almost healed, needing only a little more treatment. We celebrated a significant milestone when he received his first vaccine, a moment that filled us with joy and gratitude for the progress made by our brave dwarf.

The 35th marked a profound realization: Trappido’s strength and determination had touched the hearts of many. His story transcended a simple debate and instead inspired happiness and hope. The resilience exhibited by such a small warrior who longed to embrace life and move on was a testament to the power of the human spirit.

Seven months had passed since Trappido’s rescue, and the momentous news arrived. He had found his forever family, ready to give him the love and care he so richly deserved. Our mission was accomplished, but it was not an end; rather, it marked a new beginning for Trappido.

In his new home, he would continue writing his own chapter full of joy, never forgetting the journey he took. Trappido was not only a privilege to know, but also a pleasure to love, reminding us of the transformative power of compassion and resilience.
