Bulldog Bonsai: Confronting Life with Two Legs and Multiple Genetic Disorders.

Since his birth, Bonsai has faced many challenges: born with two legs and a series of other genetic disorders that make life difficult. However, thanks to a loving caregiver and the support of the community, he not only survived but also led a fulfilling life!imageimage

The hind legs behind the tail, the landscape tree legs, were recently amputated. He also lacked functional pelvic bones and had spinal deformities below. He has the “Swimmer Puppy” syndrome in his front legs, preventing him from standing correctly on his front legs and exerting excessive pressure on his internal organs. Instead, it could be caused by the large internal organs he was born with. He was born as a British Bulldog breeder in Arkansas.

Friends of Emma, a Texas-based organization dedicated to caring for dogs with cleft palates and other congenital defects, is assisting Bonsai’s owners in caring for the dog, covering veterinary bills, and other necessities such as diapers and towels.
